Okay, so this has been on my mind for a bit and it’s just another theory… I know, it’s a bore, but bear with me here for a bit it has to do with everything in FNAF and the new Sister Location game…
I’m going to be using information from the games AND the book “Five Nights at Freddy’s The Silver Eyes.” Which means, HUGE spoilers so if you haven’t read the book, then don’t read on unless you want to ruin it for yourself.
Now, to start this off, we’ll go to the beginning of it all. Fredbear’s Family Dinner.
In the book, you basically get a lot of back story with the establishment including the protagonist’s past but this may be tied up to the fourth game as well. The start of the domino effect was when the protagonist’s twin brother was taken away by the purple guy who was the co-founder with the protagonist’s father who was the one who created the animatronics. Because of this, the father was hurt by this but still continued on with his work. I believe the Purple Guy did this because he wanted to hurt the establishment for he wanted to take these ideas and make his own. (Sister Location)
After the events of his partners son being taken away (1982), Purple Guy’s son becomes the next victim (supposed son and main character of the fourth game). I believe that when the Fredbear plushie is talking to the boy, it’s actually the son of the other owner who want’s some redemption for his death. Leading to boy to be bitten by the animatronic Fredbear (1983). (Even though his brother was the cause of this.) The boy goes into a comma which leads to him being in FNAF World. The reason to this is because if you wait as you’re talking to Fredbear and not click any buttons, it changes to the same graphic design as it was in the cut scenes of the fourth game. Don’t believe me, go watch MatPat play the game and you’ll see what I mean.
Also, I just want to add in that Purple Guy didn’t just have two son’s but a daughter as well. Everyone knows that when you go to the room off to the right, it’s a girls bedroom with what seems to be a broken Mangle toy. Now, the second game wasn’t around at that time yet, but what if, during that time, Purple guy was making his own restaurant, The Sister Location, and gave his daughter toy for the fox animatronic that looks eerily similar to that of Mangle to see if she’d like it. Which, from the looks of it, she didn’t but he decided to use that to make Mangle in the new restaurant for the second game to hurt Freddy’s Fazbears Pizza.
Now, I’m going to talk a little bit about the Sister Location and what could be the identity of Purple Guy’s daughter as well. Now, remember the part in the fourth game where your character gets to walk outside and back at home? Well, if you look back to that cut scene, you’ll see a girl with red hair, in pigtails. I’m pointing her out as the daughter because in the Sister Location Baby looks very similar to her if you think of it. They both have the red hair and green eyes but it’s only a guess. It could be, that he favored his daughter a little bit more and decided to have an animatronic look similar to her so that she could feel special about herself or something of that sort.
Okay, now after all of this, the first original animatronics from the first game come into play, but it isn’t the time of the first game, we’re not that at that part yet. So, around this time, the Sister Location is up as well as and during this time, Purple guy takes his plan into action once again, only this time, killing other children to completely ruin the business of Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza. By doing this, the police would have to come in and tarnish the establishment’s good name once more. In the book, Purple Guy actually used the Spring Bonnie Suit and the Fredbear suit to lure the children to him and even snatched them when no one was looking. By doing this, it made it difficult to figure out who actually did it since no one was really paying attention to the guy in a gold bunny suit. Purple Guy actually killed each child on different days, starting on June 26th, 1985 to July 1985 where the main protagonist’s friend, Michael, who was the very last victim and the one in control of Fredbear/ Golden Freddy. (Yes, they’re the same animatronic.) Because of this, Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza goes into lock down because of these events. But wait, the second game takes place in 1987, how does that work? Well, it could be that police were looking into it for a bit but then reopened shortly after since they could find the bodies, but the bodies were actually in the animatronics and was the actual murder weapon as well. The book actually points out that ALL of the suits have a spring lock in them and Purple guy used this to kill the children while hiding their bodies. Around this time, though, the owner who created the animatronics was the prime suspect, along with Purple Guy and because of this, the owner ultimately killed himself, leaving his only child to go with her aunt, haunted by everything that had happened.
After two years, the establishment reopens once again with new animatronics that look similar to the animatronics of the Sister Location. That’s because Purple Guy took ownership of Freddy Fazbear’s since his partner was no longer around. You may be wondering why the place is shut down again, and it could be that the police could have found a lead of some sort and put the place back into lock down, but not before the Bite of 87. Now, on the last phone call you receive on night 6 in the second game, Phone Guy points out to Jeremy that someone took one of the yellow suits in the back and that there was an opening in the day shift. It could be that Purple Guy, took the Spring Bonnie suit, for the police were going to use it to see if they could find any clues to the missing children and with it being gone, it could have caused quite a scene. So, with Purple Guy running off to who knows where with the suit, an opening came for Jeremy in the morning. So, when the next day came around, Jeremy who had no idea what was really going on, was doing his job like he was told too, and was ultimately attacked by one of the animatronics. Phone Guy also tells you, the player that the animatronics were acting up and that he wanted Jeremy to stay close to the animatronics. It could be that Purple Guy actually messed around with the animatronics, hoping that in some way, it’ll get the police to focus more on the accident then the case of the missing children. This also causes the place to shut down, once again, since the Bite could have put Jeremy in a coma, but we learn in the first game that he survives.
Speaking of the first game, well just dive right into that now. So, no one really knows what year the game took place, but if you read the book, it shows that in 1995, the establishment was with the mall’s walls that was being built. So, we can say that the game took place between 1989 – 1994. Since Scott is having this theme of having the establishment be reopened on an odd number year, we’ll go with 1989. So, the place reopened around that time possibly with Phone Guy being there and possibly Purple Guy being back in charge of the place. When the place reopens up, not many people are coming to the establishment because of everything that had occurred and was hurting the business by keeping it up. It could be the Purple Guy was more focused on keeping his own establishment open, more so then Freddy Fazbear’s. Thus, the reason why the place looks as if no one is really keeping it up to par. He also gives Phone Guy the night shift job because he actually hopes that the animatronics will kill him so that he doesn’t ruin his plan, which works. Phone Guy could have been the only night guard for a good duration of the time until his final day where he messes up. It could be that he passed away roughly around 1990 – 1994. Then, Mike gets thrown into the mix. He doesn’t really have any ties to the place itself, just a regular guy, looking for an easy gig. Purple Guy was probably hoped that he would die too but since Mike tampered with the animatronics to see what was actually going on, Purple Guy fires him in fear that Mike could have found what remained of the missing children, but didn’t. After that, the place closes down for Purple Guy didn’t want to have another night guard messing with the animatronics. He also puts the Spring Bonnie Suit in the office for safe keeping.
Then, in 1995, the protagonist in the book comes back to her the town for it was the tenth anniversary of the children’s disappearance. She and her friend discover that Freddy Fazbear’s wasn’t actually torn down, but the mall was built around the establishment. So, upon this discovery, she and her friends go in and sees the place once more. Now, Purple Guy comes back, knowing that the protagonist was back in town. He could have been worried that she and her friends could find out where the missing children went so, he acted as if he was the mall security guard. By doing this, he was able to get close to the children and ultimately, revealed a good portion as to what he had done to the children as I said earlier. So, when the protagonist and Purple Guy were surrounded by the animatronics, (Him being in the Spring Bonnie Suit,) and her just standing there, used this opportunity to activate the spring lock in that suit, killing him right there. So, in a sense, all of the children were there, (including golden freddy) but the protagonist was the one who gave the children their redemption. After that, the animatronics take Purple Guy’s corpse away from the protagonist and her friends and they all escaped.
Not much is known after that point, for in the third game, Phone Dude says that they couldn’t find any intact animatronics, so it could be that Purple Guy did destroy the animatronics, but as Springtrap instead. This part is a little tricky, because in the little mini game, you see a purple freddy instead of Springtrap, so it could be that there was another animatronic in the facility since his partner actually made a lot more different animatronics then the ones that we know of. So, by using this other Freddy, he destroyed the other animatronics and whatever other animatronic was there in the establishment. So, now we’re left with the guessing game of who is the security guard in the third game. There are two possible candidates for this one. It could either be Jeremey who was bitten on 87 or Fritz who could have been traumatized from what happened to him on his shift as a night guard. For me, I am leaning more towards Jeremey, for it could be that Jeremey was suffering from the after affects from the bite and couldn’t hold a job to save his soul because of what happened and since he knew more about the animatronics more than most people, it could be that the people of Fazbear’s Fright thought of him to be the perfect one for the job. Now, this give Purple Guy the chance to get rid of him for good since his plans didn’t work last time. After making attempts to get even remotely close to Jeremey. He decides that the only way to get rid of everything was to mess with the wiring and burn down Fazbear’s Fright. We don’t know if Jeremey made it out a live or not, but everyone knows that Springtrap is still alive. (Edit the photo of the newspaper after the six night. He’s in the photo.)
Thus, that being said, that leads to the Sister Location. Now, since Purple Guy was no longer able to take care of the place since he “vanished” so to say, his oldest son becomes in charge of the establishment or the sister. Either one of the two could have it. Leaving either of them to do as they please. But, not much is known yet as to why the characters in that game are attacking you. It could be that the son is the one who is going in there and since he could look similar to Purple Guy, they think it’s him and become angered for he left them for how many years. (We’ll say it’s roughly 20 years or so.) If I was them, I would be pretty ticked off at him. But, we’ll learn more when the game actually comes out.
Thank you for reading this! This is purely a theory of what I think could be the story behind it all and if you want to fill in anything or give out your own opinion, please do! I’d love to h
